About NN Exam Prep
What this does
Practice true/false questions for the Neural Networks (WBAI028-05) exam at the University of Groningen (RUG). The questions follow the format of the real exam: pure true/false statements, 22 of them, spread over the topics of the lecture notes. After every answer you get the correct verdict, a short explanation and a pointer to the part of the lecture notes it comes from.
What it covers
Every question is tagged with one of these chapters, and you can filter by chapter:
| Chapter | Topic |
|---|
How the questions are made
The questions are written with Claude Code from the lecture notes, the exercise sheets and the mock exam, and then checked by a script (exactly 22 questions, every chapter covered, a sensible mix of true and false, no duplicates). New exams are generated on demand and appear in the exam list automatically.
Accounts, guests and the scoreboard
Create an account (just a name and a password) and your answers are saved on the server, so your progress follows you between phone and laptop. The scoreboard ranks players by the number of questions whose latest answer is correct. Prefer not to sign up? Continue as a guest: your progress then stays in your own browser only, and you won't appear on the scoreboard. I store your name, a hash of your password and your answers. I also use Google Analytics to improve the site (which pages are visited and how); it only sets cookies if you accept them in the banner.
Limitations
This is an unofficial study aid, not affiliated with the course or the university. The questions are AI-written and checked automatically, not by a lecturer, so a question can be wrong or ambiguous. When in doubt, trust the lecture notes, and please tell me about any mistake you find.
Why this exists
The exam is entirely true/false, with traps in the wording, and the best preparation is answering a lot of questions in that exact style with immediate feedback. There weren't enough of them, so I made more.
What's next
More practice questions and more exams. If you want more questions for this course, or exam prep for other exams at RUG, email me.
Who built this
I'm Sigurður Haukur Birgisson. I'm from Iceland and finishing my AI degree at the University of Groningen, and I build tools I wish existed. I also compete internationally in cybersecurity with Iceland's national team, and sail competitively for Iceland.
